Headmaster Physics Brenda Manning Bus Driver Becky Marshall Lunchroom Dear Class of 1988 and each ACS Student, You have made me and my family feel very welcome as we became a part of the Augusta Christian School Community. It has been a privilege to experience the traditions, the joys, the relation- ships, the challenges and the victories that make up the life of our school. This school is very special and may it always be strong in its clear testimony for the Lord. We are living in a day when the sounds and influences that would draw us away from a deepening relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ are more numerous and louder and more persistent than ever before. As you Seniors face the challenges and opportunities and privileges of the days ahead our prayer is that your hearts desire will be as David when he quietly shared As the deer pants for the water brooks, so pants my soul for you, O God. My soul thirst for God, for the living God. May you continue to find the reality that the Living God is the only One who can truly satisfy and fulfill the hearts deepest desires. You Seniors always will have a special place in our hearts. The biggest upset of the year was the incredible victory over Thom- as Jefferson — a first in ACS history. The region tournament ended in defeat, but our ladies did not. They displayed excellent sportsmanship, and had the satisfaction of beating their first Savan- nah team. Their success was largely due to their coaching staff. Head Coach was Tim Bourdo, and Assistant Coach was Leticia Andrews. This was Coach Bourdo's first year with the girls, and he was greatly loved and appreciated by them and their fans. r p Now Homecoming is the time of year When the students are filled with lots of cheer. Spirit Week proved to be lots of fun. And with College Day, we knew it had begun. I I i t w e, e, k 1 9 8 7 50's Day was next, we were cool and creative. On Beach Day, Sanjay looked like an African native. On Sport's Day, the girls looked like football players. And Jeffina, the cheerleader, got lots of stares. That night the bonfire went without a quirk, And the J.V. team tore up Edmund Burke. But Super Spirit Day was best of all, and at the Homecoming Pep Rally, we had a ball. There were candy sale awards, a skit, and frizbees galore Then the cheerleaders came out and cheered some more. The Varsity, Coach Linaburg, and the Dean” Tore the pants oft Nathaniel Greene. Lean on Him, because he never gives more than you can handle. Congratulations, Senior, I Love You.
