Serve the Lord with gladness; come before His presence with singing. Know ye that the Lord He is God; it is he that hath made us. and not we ourselves; we are His people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise; be thankful unto him and bless his name. For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations. Psalms 100 Finger Exercise The Joy of Being a Senior Are we going to be in the annual? Are we awesome? But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the world! Acts 6:4 Life, Giving, Full-time dedication to Christ. Many times as students we often make the statement: “I'll be anything for Christ except a teacher.” Christ has a plan for all of us, and for a special lady in our school, God has used her through teaching. This lady has given her life to Christ and Augusta Christian. She has taught History and English to the junior high students and has been a sponsor of the beta club and yearbook. She has made a lasting impression on all the students who have been fortunate enough to sit in her classes. We thank Christ for her dedication and care. We love her and are proud to dedicate this annual to Miss Mary Johnson. Romans 12:1 ... present your bodies a living reasonable service.” Today, let's look at a lady who has dedicated the past nine years of her life to Augusta Christian. She has taught the 2nd grade students for 4 years and has worked in the elementary office for five years. This lady and her family have been a large part of our elementary school and will always be considered part of the ACS family of Christ. We want to thank Mrs. Shirley Nelson for her time and service and are proud to dedicate the elementary portion of the 1985-86 annual to her. sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your s fi Best of friends brings best of times Joey Hadden Paul David Robert Dickens Clayton Galloway Hal Hitchcock Dale Krosting Laura Lindley to Susan Thomas Robbie Powell Lynn Sammons Michael Snyder Michael Snyder Attended ACS 13 yrs. I have never deserved this type of ministry, but I rejoice that God has allowed me to be an administrator of a Christian school and specifi- cally Augusta Christian. I have heard many times. I wouldn’t have this job. I wouldn't either if it wasn’t for God’s daily help. If I had to relay on my own strength and understanding. I would have been overwhelmed long ago. God has shown his watchcare over and over again. God’s grace and mercy is the message we here at Augusta Christian bring to the students at ACS. The following pages will give you some insight about the students and their campus. My father once shared a verse with me. and I would like to share it with all of you. Ill John 4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. Sincerely. They were brave, coura- geous men and women who desired to go into space to learn things which would be useful to us here on earth. They were the explorers of our time. We remember explorers of long ago — Columbus. Magellan. Lewis and Clark. They were people who risked their lives for what they believed was important. These crew members realized the danger, yet they believed the mission was worth it. I Believe we are here at Augusta Christian School relate with Christa McAuliffe — the Schoolteacher. She went on the mission with the goal of teaching students, not only about space, but also about taking a challenge. We therefore will never forget these brave seven who risked their lives for all of us. GA. 30906 404-790-1184 104 AS YOU GO THROUGH LIFE Don't look for flaws as you go through life. And even when you find them. It is wise and kind to be somewhat blind And look for the virtue behind them. The current of life run ever away To the bosom of God’s great ocean — Don’t set your force ’gainst the river’s course. And to alter its motion. The world will never adjust itself To suit your whims to the letter Some things must go wrong your whole life And the sooner you know it the better. It is folly to fight with the infinite. And go under at last in the wrestle; The wiser man shaped into God's plan As water shapes into a vessel. Lynn Sammons 105 We, the class of nineteen and eighty-six of Augusta Christian School, being of sound (?) mind and memory, without mental reservations of purpose or evasion, do publish and declare this to be our last will and testament: I, Shelly Blatt, leave my ability to stay out of trouble to Lynn Abernathy, and to my sister Lynda, Jamie, Lisa, and Regina all my boy problems.
