LOOKING BEYOND “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Romans 12:2 God is still our refuge and strength in times of need. But too many times we seem to leave Him out of our lives except when we get into a jam and have no other choice. Sure we should be realistic in life, but we also need to take the attitude of an optimistic Christian. In other words, the contrast is between having a carnal negative viewpoint or having a positive Christian view. Obedience to God and striving to be a more informed, mature and committed Christian should be our goal. When our priorities are straight, we can deal with our Christian growth and negativism in a constructive manner. Education is concerned with teaching general principles that can be applied to the situations of life. Without the Christian viewpoint, our perspective is biased. Seeking after the knowledge of God changes our outlook and makes us aware of different values which are life-changing. God’s thoughts become a part of our being when one is attuned to the Person of the Holy Spirit and His work in our life. Having a personal relationship with God means prayer and Bible study have a significant place budgeted in one’s life. What is the answer to our needs? We need to live our life as a witness of God’s love for all mankind. Our actions and viewpoints Mr. Charles B. should have Christ as their focus point. Eternal joy, happiness and peace are the end results of a life dedicated to Christ. Thus, Augusta Christian School will continue to give their students a quality Chris- tian education in addition to a strong well-rounded academic envi- ronment that promotes the strengthening and renewing of the mind as demonstrated in the lives of our students.
