PATRICIA PARKER Associate Academic Dean As a teacher and administrator my connection with Augsburg ex- tends over two decades. During this time our world has changed consid- erably. Augsburg college, being a comparatively small, church-relat- ed, liberal arts college may seem at first glance to be somewhat re- moved from this larger world of change but a closer look will make it clear this is not the case. World events of the past twenty years as well as changed social, technologi- cal. and economic circumstances have certainly had an impact on our academic programs and our under- standing of student needs and aspi- rations. At Augsburg we not only recog- nize that our world will continue to change but that, as a college, we will be sensitive and responsive to this evolution.
