CHAPEL CHOIR: Under the direction of Becky Bjella. Chapel Choir has grown in popularity and size. Meeting every Monday night in old main chapel, the choir prepares for their participation in occasional eucharists and chapels. The Music Therapy Club plays an important role in the education and social life of Music Therapy students. Meetings are held monthly and vary from disco lessons to a demonstration on using music with deaf children. Major events for the Club included a presentation at the music department's performance workshop, and a Valentine’s Day Carnation sale. Money from the annual fund raiser is used to (rase the costs of students attending the Regional Conference. This year the Club adopted a constitution and was recognized by the student senate. Carlson Our Orchestra, under the direction of C. William Douglas, had a busy year. They performed three times here at Augsburg, as well as participating in a worship service at Plymouth Congregational Church, and a concert at the Minnesota Federal Atrium in downtown Minneapolis. Their last concert was a concerto that featured several student soloists; the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra also participated. The Orchestra went on a four day “clinical tour in November.
