Mr. Saterenis classes are remembered by students for the greater and deeper understanding of music and of sacred music in particular which he imparts. Mr. Sateren is well known and respected as a composer, having over 250 pieces published. His thorough musicianship, sense of textual values, and the sing-ability of his works have brought him recognition. Mr. Sateren is also highly praised as a director. ln directing the Augsburg College Choir, he has been called Nan artist playing an instrument capable of extraordinary tone and flexibilityfl In recognition of these abilities and accomplishments, and in ap- preciation for his many contributions to Augsburg, the 1963 AUGS- BURGIAN is humbly dedicated to lVlr.
