We elected Alfred Bradford for president, Dick Bradford for Vice-president, Carol Riggenbach for secretary, and Dorothy Matson as treasurer. On Fri- day, October 15, we were initiated by the Sophomores. That evening they gave us a party in the school gym. Our parties for the year were as follows: A wienerroast and hayride celebrating Janet Rickner's and Ruthanna Spang- ler's birthdays, a Christmas party, a Birthday Party for Dick Donley and Joan Horner, and a Valentine Party honoring Mr. Sear's birthday. We closed the Freshman year witha private skate and picnic at Fort Brown for the class. Mr. W. J. Rupert, our class advisor, rented boats for us for the day. The next year we found that some of our class had not returned. The absentees were Segurd Burnett, Richard Minnick, Ramona Place, and the Keeterly twins. We elected Dick Donley for president, George Hornish for vice-president, Joan Horner for secretary, and Dorothy Matson for treas- urer. Mr. Wilburn was our class advisor. We initiated the Freshmen in October. The parties for the year were as follows: Halloween Party, Christ- mas Party, Birthday Party for Bill Carnahan, Party for the Freshmen for winning in the Magazine Campaign Farewell Party for Karl Bell anda Skat- ing Party at Fort Brown in honor of Mr Peters who was leaving the school Marie Davis Joined our class this year We were given a Flunk Day in the spring We went to the State Dam where we had a picnic In the Junior year we had Mr Joseph Wilson for our class advisor We elected George Hornish for president Allen Hornish for vice president Margaret Taylor for secretary and Ruthanna Spangler for treasurer We received our class rings in November Herb Varner Joined our class this year but moved away at the end of the year Our parties for the year were as follows Farewell Party for Dorothy Matson Birthday Party for Carol Riggenbach and an April Fool s Party On Flunk Day the class divided into two groups One group went to the State Dam while the other went to Defiance We presented our class play Mother was a Freshman in April On May Z0 we gave a banquet for the Seniors and furnished them free tickets to the midnight show We entered our Senior year with a class of twenty nine members Mr Smith was our class advisor We elected Bill Carnahanfor president Allen Hornish for vice president Margaret Taylor for secretary and George Hornish for treasurer We had two class parties this year a Christmas Party and a Farewell Party for Ol1venClevenger In September we Journeyed to Fostoria to have our senior pictures taken In October we gave a class play The Inner Willy ' The class purchased a popcorn popper as a gift t the school The Juniors gave us a banquet on May 5 For one day in May we played 'Kids' once again This has become a tradition with Seniors at Oak wood Baccalaureate was held on May Z0 and the Commencement on May Z5 We left for a trip to New York on Saturday evening, May 26 1 F 9 n . . 1 I . , , , . 3 , . . , . . . , .
