Jim tomumiif MAKING THE GRADE An effort has been made this year to improve the scholastic standing of the chapter. They post an F.F.A. honor roll, maintain a chap- ter library and plan senior trips to colleges. Members are encouraged to enter all speech and farm proficiency contests. MONEY MAKERS The Earning and Saving projects netted this year over $5, 000.00. The main projects were seed potatoes sales, com production, garden seed sales, seed testing and the noon lunch counter. A new Junior Production Credit Association was formed to provide a source of credit to the members. CHOW TIME! The F.F.A. has fun, too. During the year they played volleyball with Exira, had a hayride, three watermelon feeds and num- erous chili suppers. FARM FACTS Public acceptance and support of the F.F.A. depends upon how well it is informed on the purposes, activities and accomplishments of the chapter and its members. They had several news articles and accompanying pic- tures in several local and three national papers. They participate in a weekly radio program and an occasional television program. 25
