The three-act play was directed by Mrs. Schlitter. The crew, with the help of the art department, created the setting for the mystery. Somebody had to do it.

Marching Band ' • + . v2SL The steady beat of the bass drum reminded AHS neighbors that marching band season was here once again. The band was rehearsing for the Car- roll Band Festival, September 30, 1961. Half-time shows during football season featured Compact Car-nival, Junior Joins the Band, and the Late, Late Show. The highlight of the season was Homecoming on Friday, October 13. The parade was led by the band which also performed at the half in tribute to the queen, Paulette. The band traveled to Des Moines October 14 for Drake Band Day. Other activities included the Audubon County Fair Stock Parade, August 17, and the T-Bone Parade, November 4.
