The Student Council of Audubon High School was organized in the fall of 1949. It was planned that the organization should consist of the officers of the various classes and a faculty sponsor. At the first meeting of the organization, the officers were elected as follows: Edna Mae Christoffersen, Pres- ident; Sally Jo Johnson, Vice President; Katherine Jensen, Secretary; and Louise Hardie, Treasurer. Since the Student Council is a relatively new organ- ization the meetings to date have been concerned primarily with promoting better student-faculty re- lations. The organization also hopes to establish an honor svstem and oublish a student handbook and directory. It is also hoped that during the coming year the members may be elected from the classes by a democratic system rather than being composed of the officers. They worked and worked to what avail It seemed as If they sure would fall. The days It took them seemed like ages. ? Suddenly they found they'd finished the pages. Look In their book and you shall see Hi$i School days as they used to be.
