Jurisprudence Committee To complete the S.C.A. we find the Jurisprudence Committee, who must handle all judiciary matters concerning Student Covcrnmcnt emanating from the Student Senate and the INiriiliu- Committee. The Committee is composer! of one faculty memher ami six student jnsti -« s who arc- appointed by the President of the S.C.A. with the approval of the Student Senate. The members are as follows: Professor Metzer. Herb White. Byrd Fanner. Doug Dickey. Joan Davidson. Jim Long and Doug Lunsford. The Senate The Student Senate- has been faced this year with the unprecedented situation of Inning a majority of one party presided over by a member of another. The Vice President of the Student Body serves as President of the Senate and in his absence the President Pro Tcm. selected from the Senior class senators, presides. The distribution of representation is divided as follows: Senior class, five senators: Junior class, four senators; Sophomore class, three senators: Freshman class, two senators, and the fifth and sixth year students, one senator. This year, besides being faced with the traditional problems of approving appointments and revising election laws, the Senate investigated the possibilities of establishing an honor system and building an interdenominational ehajM-l on the 2 campus.
