The girl from Yugoslavia, Jelena Novakovic, stayed at the home of the Roys. She was very active in student life. Jelena went out for girl's basketball and was a mem- ber of KTC and history club. Montse Trias, the girl from Spain, stayed with the Stewart's and Leahy’s of Auburn. She was also a busy participant of AHS. Montse, too was a mem- ber of KTC and history club, and the two girls teamed up to be the boy's track manag- ers. Guillaume Mary of France was hosted by the Ping family of rural Auburn. Guillaume was an avid tennis player, bike rider, and run- ner. He also took time out to be the girl's volleyball manager. During their stay here, they have taught us many new and interesting customs from their homelands. They have also left our small community with many warm memories of our times together. Wieters rTTi Back to the Future It is now the year 2012, Twenty-five years after the graduation of the class of 1987. Mid-way to JENNY PENDLETON s condo in Florida's Keys where our 25th class reunion was originally planned to be held, we were forced to crash land on a deserted island due to a loose wing. We are now on a deserted island somewhere off the coast of Mexico. Transportation was provided by LORI TRACY's Private Jet. Flying the jet was SANDRA PAT- TON along with co-pilot MELISSA MORROW. Airfare was provided to the classmates by our good friend MIKE WILSON. First off the plane was DAWN LEWIS, who in turn greeted each of her classmates with a lei as they stepped off the jet. Following Dawn, was the execu- tive vice-president from the world-wide chain of Ben Franklin stores BRYAN SO- KOL, who furnished the wonderful party favors for our gala event and JEFF SER- GENT who designed our invitations for this reunion. Next was STEPHANIE BRYANT who replied, Where's the phone? I have to call my mommy! Then came the sports figures: ERIC McKAIN, golf champion of the U.S. Open, with his private accountant, TODD KRELL; CRAIG THOMPSON, world famous cliff diver; GUILLAUME MARY, who holds the world record for speed walking; AARON KAUFMAN, member of the 2022 U.S. Olympic Track Team; STEVE BRLIMMET, a race car driver in the In- dianapolis 500; and TIM HUFF, who sup- plied all of his classmates with a pair of Air Huff tennis shoes. Following the sports big leagues, were the leaders of the United States' three biggest organizations: ERIC LANDERS, President of the KKK; SHF.R1 MACKAY, Chief Executive Offi- cer of Juvenile Aggression Movement); and LANCE JABUSH, founder of the U.S. Secular Humanism Foundation. Dis- cussing their latest and most successful business tactics, BRAD HARDEN, own- er of Harden Disposal; TINA SUTTON, designer of Candy-Striped Souvenirs Un- limited; KELLI GAINES, graphics artist for New Frontier Maps Inc.; BOB MILL- ER, owner of Meat Market Horses; ERIC JOHNSON, Yuppie; LORA COOK, act- ing director of Cook Closet Cleaners; and DAVID STEELE, owner of Steele Driv- ing Lessons Corporation, wandered off the jet engrossed in their conversation. Last but not least were: GUY BRUM- MET (Thumper), who hunts rabbits; TROY PAROLA. with his nine woman harem on his heels; and MARK PIERCE with his date for the evening, Rosey Palm. After everyone cleared off, TOMMY WILLIS and ERIC SHARP began repair- ing the jet as TAMI ROY, being co-own- er of Mac's Auto Body Shop and special- izing in cracked oil pans, supervised. KEL- LY ALLEN listens intensely when Doctor MONTSE TRIAS announces she has fi- nally found the cure for AIDS, which has killed off half of the population of the U.S. Montse makes her observation along with JESSICA MICHAELS who is a world famous professor at Hickey” School. After his driving instructions by JELENA NOVAKOVIC, an illegal taxi driver, DARREL VANSTREIN was the center of attention as he gave a brief summary of his book 101 Ways to Wrap Your Car Around A Tree , while off to one side, KEVIN BAKER CURT SCHU- MACHER sat at a table discussing their latest cover story for Field Stream. PAT WIETERS was our host for the evening. TRICIA BERGMAN, KIM IHLEN- FELDT, BARBIE HILL, and TRACI LEAHY entertained us with a luau and post-luau pies. As the evening progressed, MARK BEATTY, who is now a meat cutter, supplied us all with the tube steaks. While INEZ SHELTON and PAUL HALTON brought the other munchies as we listened to SCOTT HAMMON, who took us back to the 60’s with drum solos of the King of Rock 'N Roll, Elvis. We also watched Paul Hunley in the All New Howdy Doody Show, WENDI DEEMER who starred in Rocky Part 29, and TINA STEWART with her excerpts from Be- lieve It or Not, and DEREK MALEY gave us all a sneak preview of his new Chippendale routine. The whole fiasco turned into a very interesting evening thanks to TARA NORRIS and her fiance Booger who decides to get married on the island. Reverend BILL PETERMAN (now fellowship minister leader of PTL) graciously performed the ceremony and Tara Booger belched the vows in a tear- jerking wedding. JARED OSHESKY en- ters at the close of the ceremony com- menting, What's goin on? MARTY ZAK arrived after the festivities came to a close. Tommy and Eric were unsuccessful at fixing the jet wing, so Marty gave us all a ride back to Auburn, Illinois in his space capsule. I.ETHA HARBOUR was unable to attend because she was still writing her term paper for U.S. History. KAREN NEWBERRY summed up the evening when she replied, Well, I guess you just had to be there! For the team, winning the Regionals was not enough. They did not stop there; they wanted to prove their point. They be- came the first team in Auburn history to win Sectionals, allowing them the honor of being part of Sweet 16. Sadly, they saw their dreams of the Assembly Hall slip away with a last second shot by Beardstown in the Supersectionals game. However, the Trojans did prove their point, because even though we lost, we won. Isn’t that sweet. Winter Sports Candids rm The Natural 1st row: B. Dixon, K. Schumacher, D. Hummel, D. Baker, C.
