We started off with a thrilling victory of 12-6 over Virden. We were still in a win- ning streak when in competition with Waverly, Northwestern, Williamsville, Kincaid, and Divernon. What a way to start a season! Than we were faced with the toughest game of the season; Pawnee. Still our defeat didn't hold back the team from going on to more victories, our fans backed the team 100% and stayed psyched even when the going got tough. The Auburn High School would like to thank the 1977 Trojans football team for such an excit- ing year and giving us the thrill of being able to watch our team go to state. After a long drive up in the school bus, we finally pulled in at Cascade Mountain near the Wisconsin Dells. For most, the first day was spent on the bunny hill and taking lessons while others went straight to the professional slopes. Even with aching muscles, most of us went skiing the second day while others stayed at the lodge and went tobogganing. Saturday and Sunday turned out to be sunny and the snow on the slopes was ideal. Monday was colder and only a few went skiing while the majority found recreation at the ski lodge. Because of a snow storm back in Illinois, we were laid over a day and enjoyed ourselves. Our advisors were very co- operative and had as much fun as we did. 75 WILLS I, Michele Anson, being of confused mind and stubbed body, leave to the I don't care group of students, the wMI to work harder and a better attitude towards the school.
