Dear friend of mine, To me it seems...but only yesterday...that you and I were school day pals...with happy, carefree ways...I think about you often, friend...the joys we used to know ...walks we took at autumntime, the days of long ago. Luceille Carey Memory Of Osburn Born: Oct. 11, 1957 Died: Oct. 5, 1974 In Memory Of Ms. Ruth Ann Alsop Sept. 18,1947-Feb. 15,1975 It is easy to be pleasant When life flows by like a song. But the man worth while Is one who will sm i le When everything else goes wrong. For the test of the heart is trouble. And it always comes With the years. And the smile that is worth The praise of earth. Is the smile that shines Through the tears. Dedication Margaret Ford We the senior class of 1975 dedicate this yearbook to Mrs. Ford, a teacher who may not have always had the time, but made the time to care about each student 4 SWEET CHARITY LIVE AND LET DIE PSYCHO LAW AND DISORDER FOR A FEW DOLLARS MORE THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE CURSE OF THE LIVING DEAD JOY IN THE MORNING SHAFT! MICHAEL EARL CARTER MARILYN KAY BURTON Man can live his truth, his deepest truth, but he cannot speak it. It is for this reason that love becomes the ultimate human answer to the ultimate human question. For yesterday is but a dream and tomorrow is only a vision but today well lived makes yesterday a dream of happiness and every tomorrow a vision of hope. JOSEPH W. CHAMBERS 22 CAMILLA ANNE CORLAS CYNTHIA ELIZABETH CLARK Seeking is to have a goal, but finding is to be free. JAMES EARL CLARK Some may think I'm stupid, some may think I'm dumb, some may think me crazy, but I'm just having fun. When I am tempted to put some- thing off, I remind myself that to- day inevitably will become yester- day, tomorrow will become today, and there is only one day left until tomorrow. LISA JONETTE CRYE 23 KENNETH JOHN GYORKOS I can resist anything but temptation. Middle age is the time when young people are wasteful and old people are boring. KEITH BRAIN KERR JEAN RENE HEM BERGER The greatest right in the world is the right to be wrong. WILLIAM CLINT HUMKE Those who complain about the way the ball bounces are often the ones who dropped it. CLEVELON DONALD HARRIS JR. Winning is not everything, winning is the only thing. To cease smoking is the easiest thing I ever did; I ought to know because I've done it a thousand times. SHARON L. KING 25 JOHN M. KNOEPFLE In skating over thin ice our safety is in our speed. You can't shake hands with a clenched fist. BRENT A. LADAGE CANDACE LYN KOEHLER Patience is a virtue; I have never been accused of being virtuous. To live is the rarest thing in this world . . . most people only exist. WANDA J. MANSHIP KATHRYN ANNE LUDEK Merciful Father, I will not com- plain, I know that sunshine will fol- low rain. It isn't ever the same. In time I'll change and you and the currents of our lives but the image of this moment will never fade. This moment and you are unforgettable. ADRIENNE MARCHIZZA 26 GAIL ANN MCMILLAN The toughest part of a diet isn't watching what you eat; it's watch- ing what your friends eat. If you would be loved, love and be favorable. KIM MARIE MILLER DYANN S. MILLER I am not in this world to live up to your expectations, and you are not in this world to live up to mine. You are you and I am I. To love is to know the sacrifices which eternity exacts from life. PATRICIA D. OLLER DONNA MARIE NARDI If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is be- cause he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music he hears, however measured of far away. RICHARD L. PARMENTER JR. 27 RACHELLE 'LYN PIGNON A bell is just a bell until you ring it; A song is just a song until you sing it; A day is just a day until you live it; and love is just until you give it. JOHN ROBERT RICHMOND EDWARD GARY RIGG Really it's not losing so much that bothers a ball player, it's the next practice that kills him, Plow the land, plant the seed love our god, follow his creed; Farm on. TIMOTHY EUGENE SEIFERT i it ELIZABETH A. ROLANDO A real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out. 29 KANDACE ANNE STAMER Those who give have all things. KEVIN LEE VAN HUSS FRANCES M. THIRLWALL Each of us inevitable, each of us limitless, eachof us here as divine- ly as any is here. PAULA JUNE SWAIN LESLIE SUSAN STATES If I can't be myself, it's not worth being. RANDY JOE WEDDELL GARY LEE WILLIAMS The most essential thing in a young man's life is the gift of friendship. KAREN LEIGH WILSON For yesterday is but a dream and tomorrow is only a vision, but today well lived makes yesterday a dream of happiness and tomorrow a vision of hope. Hearing a roar, we turn to see JOHN RICHMOND and JIM CLARK (who unsuccessfully attempted to jump the Sugar Creek River Bed in 1984) with their personal mechanics, RANDY WEDDELL, DOUG MARX, DICK PARMENTER, and KEN GYORKOS. PAT SERGENT and ROSE WALTERS arrived from the Sergent-at-Arms Day-Care Center along with their helpers, DONNA DALTON and WANDA MANSHIP. Seeing a flash of white, we see SARA GIBSON, SHARON AUMILLER, and KATHY GILMORE, a now famous medical team from Parks Home. With a roar, a small jet swoops down in the street and GAIL McMILLAN, who is currently starring in a movie with Robert Redford, exits along with LIZ ROLANDO, Redford's private stewardess. They bring regrets from famous novelist LISA CRYE, who was unwilling to leave her mountain retreat in Wyoming to return to Auburn. And what is this? Do we smell carrots? Yes, it's LESLIE STATES and CINDY CLARK, who own their apartment complex where they raise rabbits. Close behind them is KAREN WILSON, a marriage counse- lor. Hearing a helicopter, we all turn to see HAROLD BRANDON expertly land it. From the chopper steps the stately Cardinal (GREGG) EILERS, followed by BRIAN KERR, now a humble monk, and Sister SUSAN CRIQUELION. They are accompanied by their lawyer, the honorable RUSSELL E. BALDWIN. Arriving very bruised and angry are VICKI SERGEANT and JUDY DIXON. They came from Kansas City on their roller skates. Oh, and here is PHIL PIGNON, now famous for his Snoopy murals, and GARY WILLIAMS, who mixes his paints. Just as things are beginning to calm down, our ears are assaulted by the sound of the trumpet of ED RIGG. Ed is followed by JOE CHAMBERS, unfortuante owner of the Edgewood Country Club. This noise is compounded by the arrival of BRENT LADAGE, SCOTT RAKES AND TIM SEIFERT, who drive up on a John Deere. Turning, we see DONNA NARDI and JEAN HEMBERGER, now forest rangers in Yellowstone Park. They conscientiously put out the cigarettes of CLINT HUMKE and DAVE SETTLE, warning them against forest fires. This small episode over, we turn to see DYANN MILLER, ADRIENNE MARCHIZZA, and KIM MILLER all consulting KATHY REDFERN and DENNIS LEWIS, both of whom work at William's Beauty Salon. A great commotion hails the arrival of SHARON KING, secretary to the wealthiest man in Arizona. She is followed by the accounting firm of KNOEPFLE, KOEHLER, and RAMSEY. Close behind them are KEVIN VANHUSS, of VanHuss Houses, Inc., and CHELLE PIGNON of Pignon Dress Shops. It should also be observed that the Washington Post has sent CAMMIE CORLAS, who, with her own special reporting methods, plans to record and preserve the conversations at this 10 year reunion for use in her forthcoming book, THE PERILS OF AUBURN HIGH. dux Jojuas Lake Of The Ozarks 121 KAISER CHEMICAL FERTILIZER AND CHEMICAL APPLICATION VIRDEN, II. 125 126 ON THE SQUARE’ AUBURN CARPETLAND usa jm 1440 WALBASH AVE.
