Weddell, L. Castleman, H. Boesdorfer. June Rutherford Donna Goodroe, Secretary Public education is the sharp edge that cuts through the rough timber of the world’s uncertainties. The vast knowledge that man uses should be sanded and smoothed from time to time so that which came before will seem more significant now and in the future. The faces and names of youth printed in this volume are the tools by which our uncertainties will be minimized. Keep close to the truth, believe in yourself, and be positive in your actions - for then, your life and character will have a finish that nothing can mar.” Mr. Ted Johnson Principal 21 BUS DRIVERS: P. On this par- ticular Wednesday they are having their meeting in the Physics room. Usually they have their meetings in the coke room. Fixing up the coke room was one of their projects for the year. Most of the students in this picture are from New Berlin High School. One of Student Council's pro- jects is to have a Student Exchange with another high school. Some of our students in Student Council went to New Berlin to visit their Student Council too. This project was designed so that a high school's council could learn something from another high school’s Student Council. 38 Mixed 1st ROW: D. Johnson, D. Thornton, K. Ludek, A. Fox, T. Having trudged the long rough road of knowledge these last four years, it's time to say 'good- bye.' Before doing so, we followed procedure and went to the office and obtained a pass from the principal. Carrying this pass, in case we were stopped en route, we proceeded to move the party to the DQ. Even though it will never take the place Ulaski's once held, we felt the DQ would be a good place to hold it in case of rain. Besides that, they provided the food. Manager-in-Chief, MIKE CAMPBELL, now heads up a staff of competent workers who did a fine job feeding the Class of '74. Mike now employs JANET LADAGE, JEANNE CELMER, and PAM FOX, among others. Entertainment is being provided by the world-famous Company 5. ” Under the supervision of Stormin’ Norman and Rowdy Ruthie these girls sing, dance, and display their various othei talents. We see JILL ALLEN on piano and MARCIA MEGGINSON playing the piano. They are being directed by the all-time great - ROBYN MYERS - while TERRI DUNN and MARY BETH POWELL provide the vocal music. A little later on, that super-terrific actress we've all heard so much about - JILL MICHELICH - will treat us with a scene presentation from her last movie, How to Make it Big as a Small Town Newspaper Editor. Some of our guests were flown here today compliments of Cimic Airways. The most capable Cap- tain KEVIN G. KERR, along with his two head stews - LORI KESSLER and GEORGIA OPOLKA - were responsible for this fine service. Arriving on the scene are a couple couples - WELDON and NEILA LADAGE and DENNIS and DEB- BIE KARHLIKER. Weldon and Dennis are both in business for themselves. Weldon owns a 600-acre cattle ranch and Dennis owns a gymnasium where the top athletes work out. The former Deb Qualls and Neila Hurley now help run the financial end of their husbands' businesses since they were both honor graduates from Bailey's Bookkeeping School. Some of the famous athletes that frequent Dennis' gym are Willie JOEL POHLOD - quarterback for the New York Jets, AL BOESDORFER - first baseman for the St. Louis Cardinals, MIKE HEMBERGER - starting guard for the Boston Celtics, and BILL McAFEE - who now holds the 100-yd. dash record at 8.9. Occasionally, you'll find PEG RENKEN - head cheerleader for the UCLA Bruins - working out on the trampoline there. A number of the students from the Class of '74 have gone into business for themselves. The most influential is BOB LAS. He has taken over a chain of IGA's and turned them all into Kroger's. ED BURG, along with a little help from the Area Vocational Center, has a shop where he repairs and sells electronic equipment. Ed says that anything you break, he can fix - or vice versa. BRUCE RAKES has followed in his father's footsteps (or should I say ’tracks'?) and has kept up the family bulldozing business. DARLENE SPARKS has started a new line of restaurants and is now serving as head chef in the one located in Girard. Her staff includes DAVID (Duncan Hines) LOYD and DIANA COX. In her spare time, Diana also works at Pulliam's Old Folks Home run by BONNIE PULLIAM, with a little help from BECKY GERMAN. Also into the health fields, along with Bonnie, are AVA REBMAN and BECKY WILSON. Ava is a high class society doctor in Beverly Hills and pursues golf in her spare time. Becky gave up a promis- ing career as an IGA cashier to open a free clinic on the east side of Harlem. DEB SANDNESS now owns the major share of stock in the insurance company she founded - Cover It or Lose It. ” It has grown to such a large extent that she has added KATHY GRIDER, CAROLYN COX, THERESA CONOVER, and JENNA FLEMING to her staff in this past year alone. RICK ALLEN has more or less gone into business for himself by opening a Playboy Club in Girard. Funny thing is that Rick doesn't seem to want to open it to the public. Male membership is limited but any female seeking employment may get in touch with Rick by calling BR-549. M P MILLBURG now own their own auto and tractor repair shop by that name. MARK and PHIL'S top mechanic is LES BAILEY and two junior mechanics just added to the payroll are BILL BAUSWELL and DAVE HORN. Their number one customer is DALE Parnelli PALMER who keeps them busy fixing cars he keeps wrecking. RAY HORN has been busy driving a truck for the BILL MOHN CONSTRUCTION COMPANY and in his spare time he moonlights for DAN SPOOR’S DRYWALL COMPANY. Several of the past seniors have made it big writing books. Those on the best-seller list this year include How to Graduate Without Going to School by JIM TAYLOR, How to Catch and Hold Your Man by DEBBIE RICCITELLI, and How to be a Successful Actor, Preacher, and Millionaire in Your Spare Time by MIKE MONKS. To top the list of housewives is the former PAM SERGENT who now has seven kids. DEB DUNN is running a close second with six and CINDY VIOLET and the former DONNA MILLER each have four. The former PAT WALLS is trying to catch up but only has three so far. SANDY SHAW, PAT LANDERS, and TERRI SMITH are all working as secretaries for the legal firm of BAGGERLY SIMS. A fine respectable establishment run by JEFF and KIRK which also employs DAVID THOMPSON as maintenance engineer. Among our distinguished guests is President of the United States, JENNIFER MARSHALL (you've come a long way from Student Council). Accompanying her today is her confidant and advisor SHIELA DOMESCIK. Shiela also heads up the major committees for the President. Women's Lib all the way!! There’s rumor that President Marshall may appoint Ms. Domescik as the new Vice-Presi- dent since the old one, DON WYLDER, resigned after he was indicted on two counts of income tax evasion and one count of under-age consumption of an alcoholic beverage. As the clouds begin to clear, we see it’s time for each of us to start our journey down separate roads. As each person leaves there are shouts of 'goodbye' and 'I'll keep in touch' and 'take care. But as the last few linger on they start to talk of what they'd do differently if they had their senior year to live over. They definitely decided they wouldn’t change anything, because the memories they made that year have helped to make their lives happy and full of joy. When asked, by this reporter, what the main thing they learned their senior year was, they all agreed it was the attitude of accepting people the way they are. When asked why they thought that was so important, they said, ''Because it takes all kinds, and that’s what our senior class was made up of - all kinds. ’’ 114 117 811 119 rAll In Clover Queen's Court TOP TO BOTTOM: Jenna Fleming Candy Koehler Cynthia Stauffer Terri Dunn Kandy Stamer Brenda King Queen MARCIE MEGGINSON King's Court TOP TO BOTTOM: Rick Allen Mike Hemberger Tim Seifert Scott Rakes Bill Urbanski Terry Flannigan King BRUCE RAKES 120 121 Teachers Appreciation P.
