s Cheerleaders Uphold Tradition of Success The AHS Cheerleaders started the year off right by successfully completing NCA Cheerleading camp in June. They received 3 superior ribbons, one excellent ribbon and brought home the most coveted NCA award, the spirit stick. They achieved super squad status and also finished as a top squad finalist in the Award of Excellence competition. In November, the varsity squad also competed in the NCA Regionals. Throughout the year they generated spirit at AHS with cheers, chants and routines. Above all, they worked hard to support the athletic teams of AHS. CLOCKWISE FROM BELOW: 1. Flag Corps Adds A Sparkle The flag corps added pageantry and color as they performed along with the band in parades, half time shows and pep rallies. They attended a clinic at UNO to gain more experience in performing routines. Led by seniors Kristin Schlange, Lisa Albright, Jennifer Rotkvic, Jonell Warren, Paula Lampe and Teresa Somers, the group displayed school spirit on and off the field.
