Members of Mr. Ramp’s stage band were: Lisa Krueger, Julie Ann Moerer, Jim Kliene, Bob Bates, Ginnie Glenn, John Williams, Sherry Sayer, Polly Glenn, Glen Peaslee, Tammy McMichen, Chris Pippert, Charlie Allen, Brent Jorgensen, Mark Mason, Steve Baumhover, Jan Brueggemann, Susan Hall, and Tracy Brettmann. Members of Mr. Osborne’s freshman-sophomore stage band were: Lisa Andrew, Lynne McKnight, Jim Zimmermann, Teri Jantzen, Brandon Rogge, Erin DeBuhr, Tony Oldfield, Bruce Broady, Craig Baumhover, Brenda Bollinger, Lisa Howat, Scott Bohling, Brian Baumhover, Eric Long, Ann Jeannerette, Kris Darling, and Mary Ann Ross. A new edition was added this year to the Bulldog band. After many years of fundraising, new uniforms were purchased. The year was quite successful. The marching band received a I at both Plattsmouth and Pershing marching contests. The concert band received a I at districts for their last hurrah. CLOCKWISE FROM LEFT: 1. The percussion ensemble performs during districts. 2. The brass section pumps up basketball players during a home game. 3. Snare drum solos are no problem for Ginnie Glen. 4. Mr. Ramp directs the concert band. 5. Lori Ritzel and Annie Bollen play their woodwinds during a game. 6. Entertaining the crowd during the homecoming pep rally is the pep band. 7. FROM TOP TO BOTTOM: I. Jerry Bodea and Diana Palmerton celebrate and have a good time. 2. Steve Bath and the rest of the Riverside Junction guys entertain the audience with “Greased Lightning . 3. Practice is always fun tor Jody Allgood, Chris Pippert, Amy Lewel-len, Steve Bath, and Lynne McKnight. Riverside Junction had a school year to “Celebrate” in 1982-83. They finished first in the Peru State Contest and third at the four state Northwest Missouri State Contest. Capping the year, was a I rating at District Music Contest. This was the first year swing choir was a separate class. The experiment seemed to work as it is part of next year’s curriculum.
