Bulldogs go Hawaiian for homecoming The 1980 Homecoming theme was Hawaiian Luau. During the week there were many acitivies to raise spirit. Among these were the inches of spirit contest won by the freshmen, hat day, security day and inside-out day. The pep rally was held in the east parking lot with guest speaker Dale Thomas. Various skits were also performed. A damper was put on the evening as the Bulldog football team was defeated 28-15 by the Tecumseh Indians. During halftime of the game, Alicia Teten was crowned homecoming queen by Pep Club President Joyce Mellage. The dance was held at the high school with music provided by Daddy Warbucks. At intermission Queen Alicia Teten crowned Randy Simpson homecoming king. i 20

Fall play scores with “Curious Savage” Ten million dollars and greedy stepchildren set the stage for the fall play “The Curious Savage.” The play is about a widow who is left ten million dollars by her husband; she is left to do what she wants with it; There is one catch: the stepchildren are also trying to con the money from her. Finding that they wouldn’t be receiving any money, they commit her to a “sanatorium”. While committed, she learns the inmates are more “sane” than the outside world. Cast members were: Steve Bath, Shelly Eash, Shauna Johnson, Doug Kampe, David Kimball, Lisa Krueger, Brenda Lash, Greg Pippert, Lisa Pratt, Steve Shannon, Suzanne Slater. CLOCKWISE FROM TOP LEFT: 1.
