Murder can be fun in Real Inspector On the eve of April 10, at the middle school auditorium, two critics enter their box, one is lustful and the other is a substitute for the regular critic. Inspector Hound (Dan Panning) enters the scene at Muldune Manor to find Shari Oestmann, as Lady Muldune and Susan Thies, as her friend, suspects in the mystery murder play, The Real Inspector Hound by Tom Stoppard. Members of the cast were Perry Clark, Mike Eash, Jeff Jones, Lori Kimball, Keith Long, Shari Oestmann, Dan Panning, Greg Pippert, and Susan Thies. Stage crew members were: Carolyn Hemmingsen, Janie Kampe, Keith Mellage, and Jenny Spear. CLOCKWISE FROM LEFT: 1. About to solve the murder, Danny Panning discovers a dead body and confronts it to Shari Oestmann and Susan Thies. 2. Perry Clark tries to explain Who done it to the other cast members Susan Thies, Lori Kimball and Keith Long. 3. Speech team sends six to state contest Upstairs, Sleeping, the one act play, received a superior rating at district contest held at Peru State College. With their qualifying rating, the members of the play, Jeff Jones, Shari Oestmann, Mike Eash,and Lori Kimball, went to state contest at Kearny. Students going to Conference Contest held at Nebraska City were: Mark Bath, Cecil Bassett, Lori Kimball, and Jeff Kistner. Superior ratings were received by Mark Bath in poetry and Lori Kimball in informative speaking. District speech contest, was also held at Nebraska City, where Lori Kimball and Mark McKercher received superiors. With these qualifying I's, these two went to state contest also held at Kearny. 25
