title IX compliance affects ahs policies The Auburn School District started to comply with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972. Title IX states that there will be no sex discrimination in any form in any federally-assisted school. This includes all academic courses, athletics, counseling and employment. In compliance with Title IX the school board appointed Mr. Chuck Stoner coordinator. Along with Mr. Stoner s appointment, they adopted policies that are in compliance with Title IX and they outlined grievance procedures. The school board also distributed information to all people affected by the change. By July 26, 1976, the self-evaluation of compliance or of non-compliance was completed. 1 Mrs. Margaret Damme takes a message for Mr. Gerdes. 12.
