FHA HELPS BUILD A BETTER TOMORROW Joy Aufenkamp carmels apples to sell at the f. b. games. The Future Homemakers of America began the year's activities with a come-as-you-are breakfast in August for all old and new members. The traditional Family Night was held in October, and in December the group went Christmas caroling. The Mother-Daughter Banquet was held in April as the setting for the installation of new officers. The biggest money-making project of the year was to carmel and sell apples at the home football games. Other fund-raising projects were a bake sale and a raffle. The year was climaxed with a field trip to Omaha. The group toured Epley Airfield, The Child Savings Institute, and Joslyn Museum; they also went to the offices of OPPD where they heard a talk by Betty Baker. The day ended at the theater where they saw Fiddler On The Roof. 14
