Front Row: Elaine Walker, Pat McConnell, Susan Rogge. Officers for the S E Nebr. Association of Media Assistants are Patty Harpham, Gail Mayberry, and Patricia McConnell. The AHS Library Club had a very active year. Attending the State Convention, Valerie Coatney and Elaine Walker came home with the title of President and Secretary of the Nebraska association of Media Assistants. In December Mr. Nixon sponsored a Christmas party at the high school with guests, games, and refreshments. The club hosted the annual book fair during Library Week. Mrs. Nixon, club sponsor, and several members attended the Southeast District Convention of Media Assistants in Lincoln. Here Patricia McConnell was elected president; Patty Harpham. vice-president; and Gail Mayberry, secretary. It was decided that the next Southeast District Convention would be held in Auburn. Officers for the 71-72 year were: President Emily Higgins, Vice-President Elaine Walker, Secretary Valerie Coatney, Treasurer Patty Harpham and Student Council Representative Gail Mayberry. ( jg%-

EXPANDS SUMMER TRIP TO SOUTH DAKOTA The Math and Science Club completed a successful year of bake sales and a soup supper in preparation for their educational trip to Colorado and South Dakota. At the monthly meetings president Denhis Rippe conducted the business; vice president Dennis Thomas, secretary Nancy Hartwig, and treasurer Brett Bence assisted. Twenty-seven new members were initiated in February at the annual ceremony. The programs for the year ranged from a review of a new computer course at Peru to the history of tele-communications, presented by Mr. Wheat- craft of the Lincoln Telephone Company, club honored the retiring Miss King at the Honors Convocation by presenting her a plaque for fifteen years of dedicated service as a club sponsor.
