The Alpha Beta Gamma Math and Science Club, composed of 76 members, completed another very successful year. Topics discussed at meetings ranged from demonstrations from the physics class to a film on ecology. Educational tours in Kansas City and Lincoln included such sights as the Truman Library, the State Penal Complex, Goodyear, and the State Capitol. Money-making projects included the food stand at the Nemaha County Fair, candy and bake sales, a soup supper, and a slave auction. All of this helped finance the trip to Washington D.C. 12

Social activities included the annual Christmas caroling, and in January, a sled-riding party was held. The Mother-Daughter Banquet ushered in the installation of new members for the coming year and the awarding of degrees. Mrs. Allen was the guest speaker and her topic was Women't Liberation. Earning FHA degrees were Gloria Obermeyer, Chris Berger, and Peggy Williams. Not pictured Nancy Kennedy. The Future Homemakers of America started off the year with a swimming party, as a way of getting acquainted with prospective members. In September, 19 members attended the District F.H.A. Convention at Bennett. Later in the month a Family Night was held at the Methodist Church, with Rev. Zimmerman as guest speaker. New members were initiated at this time.
