They worked steadily in promoting an interest in the literature, history, and culture of the French people. Also they are tyring to further international relations by corresponding regularly with a friend in France and by making efforts to travel to France. For an activity they went to Omaha and dined in a French restaurant. 8

The Student Advisory Board, assumed a great deal of responsibility this year. They worked to furnish the book store for next year, purchased vending machines for the student lounge and received permission from the school board to make it possible for the girls to wear slacks. Also they sponsored supervision of the student lounge. They also conducted tours through the new school and organized College Night. For their moneyLmaking projects they had a Saturday day, sold stationery, and sponsored a freshman initiation. Barbara Sullivan, president of the board, represented Auburn by attending the state convention. As a final project the council had a banquet at the Ponderosa and went to the show in Nebraska City.
