Many Activities Led By Student Council The Student Council had an active role in many school functions with Mr. Curnes as sponsor. Besides offering a variety of interesting convocations, the Council sponsored a Freshman Intiation Dance and sold Auburn sweaters to promote school spirit. Helpful volunteers demonstrate to fellow students the fun of being a tourist on a vacation in Switzerland. The Council sponsored a Teachers Appreciation Week; the theme being ’’Daisies don't tell how much we appreciate our teachers. During the week gifts and useful items were given to the teachers. On the last day 44 students accepted teachers' responsibilities. Bright paper daisies made them easily recognizable as Student Teachers. 18
