1967 B HIGH SCHOOL AUBURN, NEBRASKA THE DOORS OF 1966-67 Essentially a school year is like a room. In each corner there is something new and different to discover. In one corner is academics. In another is athletics. In a third, the activities lie; and in the fourth are found the administration and faculty. To those taking their first steps in Auburn High School, the doors open on a world of opportunities. Each door the students open reveals a new experience in academic learning or in social development. To those leaving Auburn High for the last time, the doors close on a world of memories. This book is a door through which, in years to come, students can re-enter this room and relive this year. THE WEEK THAT WAS... Spirit, enthusiasm, and determination grew tremendously while the A.H.S. students surged forward in anticipation of a victory. Pep club members worked hard to create the Hawaiian Paradise atmosphere. The spirit grew more intense as the bonfire blazed higher toward the close of October 13. The scorching of the Millard Indians highlighted the evening with fireworks. October 14 dawned and anxiety filled the air. Following a restless day of school, both students and faculty expressed their ever-increasing school spirit at the down-town pep rally. Here, they heard words of encouragement from the tri-captains and community fans. That evening the mighty Bulldogs hustled the Indians into a tense game of football. The Queen of the Hawaiian Paradise and her attendants were crowned during half-time. Following the football game, students and alumni enjoyed a homecoming dance with the Chancellors to climax the festivities. NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY ROW 1: J. Simon, J. Grant, D. Sullivan, B.
