The Faculty JOHN ALLEN JIMERSON, Superintendent Auburn, Nebraska B. A. Peru State Teachers College M. A. University of Nebraska YEAR the theme of the Junior-Senior Banquet program W J was “Prosperity.” That this theme should be chosen during a depression year is significant. It would seem to indicate that the optimism of youth refuses to be too discouraged under temporary economic reverses, and looks forward hopefully to a resumption of normal work and normal living. This commendable optimism will be tempered by realism. Youth leaving our schools today will recognize that they are leaving school at a time when competition for jobs is unusually keen. The jobs will go to those best prepared, and those most willing to render honest and cheerful service. Representing the Faculty and the Board of Education of the Auburn schools, may I wish you, the members of the Class of 1935, success commensurate with the service you render. —J. A. JIMERSON.
