A ineleen anc recl and l lurty live anc i Or ccn Vo! umc 31 Published by the Senior C lass Auburn 11iyh School Auburn, Nebraska The Class of 1935 of A uburn Hligli Scliool Extends Acknowledgement and Thanks for Efficient Service to Peterson, Photographer [ he Nonpareil Engraving Company and Nemaha County Elerald D education 0 ACCESS is measured by the rule of achievements, whether they be recorded in the form of enlightened minds, trophies, or medals. To the proposition that these years of association and experience have contributed gainfully to our success, we dedicate this record of our achievements. The Faculty JOHN ALLEN JIMERSON, Superintendent Auburn, Nebraska B. A. Peru State Teachers College M. A. University of Nebraska YEAR the theme of the Junior-Senior Banquet program W J was “Prosperity.” That this theme should be chosen during a depression year is significant. It would seem to indicate that the optimism of youth refuses to be too discouraged under temporary economic reverses, and looks forward hopefully to a resumption of normal work and normal living. This commendable optimism will be tempered by realism. Youth leaving our schools today will recognize that they are leaving school at a time when competition for jobs is unusually keen. The jobs will go to those best prepared, and those most willing to render honest and cheerful service. Representing the Faculty and the Board of Education of the Auburn schools, may I wish you, the members of the Class of 1935, success commensurate with the service you render. —J. A. JIMERSON. The Faculty ARTHUR J. NEBELSICK, Principal Auburn, Nebraska B. A. University of Nebraska M. A. University of Nebraska History—Debate HE ultimate aim of education is to live the “good life.” On the pathway to the “good life” are seven guide posts: health, command of fundamental subjects, ethical character, worthy home membership, acceptance of civic responsibility, vocational fitness, and worthy use of leisure. Although we are in the midst of an era of unemployment, and political, social, and economical turmoil, we need not fear1 the future (f enough of our citizens are stamped with the “good life.” -A. ,J.
