Supervising Principal 49 INIR. IJRICIJICRICIQ li. KRAUSS M UI-ILENBERG COLLEGE Al.l.EN'l'OYVN, PA. UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA PHILADELPHIA, PA. S UB-I ECTS : History, Health From an evaluation of your planning, work and activities per- taining to this yearhook, I would say that at this time there is every indication that your production this year will he :I very line memorial to your class and school. Now a yearhook in itself with its pictorial and historical rec- ord of the school year is a very fine thing to have, and I think that you as Seniors are to he complimented on it. The hook, however, reveals other things which I think are of more lasting value than the pictures themselves. It reveals first, that ill dedi- cating this hook to the Veterans of the Korean contlict, you have developed during your school life an appreciation for and love of our country and the things that it stands for, over against the vicious paganism of a totalitarian, communistic harharism, and a willingness to stand up and light and die, if need he, for the preservation ot those ideals. It this spirit is not developed hy the schools in the youth of our country, we cannot long endure as a free country. In the second place, the excellence of the hook reveals that you have learned, sometime during your school life, how to carry a worthwhile activity through to a successful conclusion, how to think, plan, work, and cooperate for hest results. These quali- ties revealed hy the hook are essential for efficient living in our democratic society, and we have every hope that you will con- tinue to demonstrate them in other lines of endeavor in the society of which you are 11 part. Your school extends its compliments to you on this fine work and hopes that you as individuals will serve as a living' meme orial to those things which you as a class have so well presented. liest wishes, FRICIIERICK K.
