SECOND: To MR. KRALISS, our principal, who had been our class adviser in our sophomore and junior years, we bestow the patience and understanding. SENIOR CLASS PROPHECY ik It is the year of 1957, and a beautiful evening in Iune. Everywhere in the vicinity of Auburn are huge posters reading, Gala Reunion. Many days ago, invitations were sent to all former pupils urging them to attend and particularly stressing an evening of wonderful entertainment. The hour for the great event has arrived. Every seat in the vast new auditorium is filled, and all are eagerly awaiting the performance in which many delightful surprises have been promised. The stage is decorated with flowers. lt is truly a festive occasion. Seated in the audience are many celebrities. As I look about me, I see a number of my old classmates. There is Neal Boi-key, who is now playing basketball for the Warriors, and in his spare time coaches the varsity basketball team at Penn State. The ladies occupying the front seats are all dressed so becomingly that they arouse my curiosity. I am told their attire comes from the very select, not to say the most expensive, shop of Anna Klingerf' who designs gowns for all the best-dressed women in the country. She is here herself and looks very chic. Seated near her is Iohn Mengelf' who owns his own barber shop. We all recognize him by his familiar laugh. Another celebrity I saw was Earl Faust, three times Governor of the State of Cal- ifornia, and leader of the new progressive party. His motto is all for one and that one me. Imagine my surprise when I see '-'Lee Fesslern coming toward me. He is dressed in a stunning uniform and looks as handsome as ever. He is a captain in the U. S.A. Walk- ing next to him is his life-long buddy, George Seiler, a noted welder who is famous for his wonderful welding technique. l have already talked to our former classmate, Marion Sowersf' who is now a pri- vate secretary to the head of the RCA Victor Corporation. Two people now entering and receiving a warm reception from the committee at the door are Beverly Seiler and Verna Trumbo, who are superintendents of nurses in the Philadelphia General Hospital. If there are any accidents tonight, we feel sure the sufferers will be properly attended to with Beverly and Verna on the job. And now the entertainment is to begin. There is a hushed expectancy. The lights in the auditorium fade and the footlights flash on. Before the packed house appears a tall, dignified figure, who makes an eloquent address of welcome. It is indeed our classmate, Harold Marbargerf' who has fulfilled his life ambition by becoming a Colonel in the U. S. A. F. Oh, before I forget to mention it, the music for the program is provided by Kathleen Sowers, who is now featured as a singer for Guy Lombardo's orchestra. Next comes a big surprise. The speaker for tonight is none other than our own pal, Pearl Kilmer, who will tell us of the many thrills and adventures she has had while in the W.A.F.'s. This brings to the end our successful reunion. The entire audience rises and sings our Alma Mater. lt has been a real delight to see all of our old friends once again. -22.-
