ALLENTOWN, PENNAA X ,UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA I I PHILADELPHlA.'PdiItINIX. . xr V SLIBIECTS2 hiistory, Health 1 X' A I 'Q Pr1nc1pal's Message SENIORS: Iudging from your present endeavors, I anticipate a yearbook that will refiect careful thought and planning. It will be one that has engaged the activities of every member of your class. It will also be one, I am sure, that will stand as a worthy monu- ment to all of your fine achievements during your school life. Producing a yearbook provides opportunities for acquiring experiences that should be of lasting value. You have experi- enced the necessity for each one in the class to contribute a share of the work. When one shirks, his responsibilities become an added burden to the group. You have experienced the need for frequent group meetings, consultations, and discussions, con- ducted in a democratic manner with full class participation in order to arrive at vital decisions affecting the very existence of the book. You have experienced the need for securing competent advice and help on matters requiring careful decision but on which you knew little. You have experienced the need for plan- ning in order to achieve maximum results with minimum waste and error. You have experienced the extensive work and thought that is required in order to carry a project of merit through to a successful conclusion. I am confident that this yearbook will be worthy of your class and a credit to our school. I am confident that you have grown in wisdom and stature during its production, and I am confident that your lives in the future will refiect the same kind of plan- ning, preparation, work and thought that went into the making of this annual. With best wishes, FREDERICK K. KRAUSS. .-8,-f
