Traditionally, the Mountain Outing has been held on the first Sabbath of the school year, but because of rain, our outing was held in two installments this year. The first Sabbath was spent on campus—in the chapel and gym—but by the next weekend, the weather had cleared and we were able to go to Sunset Lake for hikes and supper. After an afternoon of relaxing by the lake, hiking vigorously on the mountain trails, renewing old friendships or making new ones, we all gathered back at the lake for an inspiring sundown worship with a much closer feeling of family”. M Elise Daniel spends a quiet moment. ▼ With so much discussion, Tom Allen, sponsor, has a hard time choosing who is first. AYA—Adventist Youth in Action. The name really explains the purpose of the club. The main goal of the group is to share Christ’s love through their own personal lives. The group often gives skits, Sabbath school programs, visits in nursing homes, other churches, and give a lot of assistance to the Sunset Lake activities. The AYA generates an active prayer chain. Whenever they get a request, it passes through the links very quickly. Certainly, no one can deny the power of prayer! A. Pastor Nelson joins in on the discussion. M Working out the details . . .
