Rehearsals, rehearsals, and more rehearsals result in a finished performance. During rehearsals, many things take place; singing happy birthday to a fellow member, keeping your back straight and feet flat on the floor, and of course one can ' t forget warm-ups (ya-ha-ha ' s etc.), and eventually working on real music. These vocal groups, under the direction of Miss Ritchie, pride themselves in excellent performances, which vary from a candle-lit Christmas vespers with a 17th century hymn, to the 30 ' s with George Gershwin. The choir consisting of 88 members, performs sacred concerts, while Sylvan, with 23 members performs both sacred and secular music.
