done by Don Larsen. (5) Somehow all these different pieces converge at one point — the assembly room—where Don Watts and Mike Barnett put together a desk. Other pieces of furniture assembled here include dressers, desks, chairs, tables, hutches, and cabinets. (6) Next in line is check sanding, an area where sandpaper and wood putty are prevalent. Here Myrna Hayes smoothes the top of a desk, one of her numerous tasks. (7) When the furniture gets through check-sanding, it is shoved into the stain room where it is stained by dipping or spraying, demonstrated here by Dan Anderson. After the stain is dry it is sealed, lacquered, and taken to another dry room where it waits 1 5-20 hours before being packed for shipping. 24 WORK WORK Here at AAA, a well rounded program, including work as well as study, is considered standard curriculum. Every student is given the opportunity to enhance his character while diminishing his bill by working one to four hours daily. Available to the on-campus worker are a great variety of jobs. If office work appeals to you, you could be a reader for a teacher. The business office and registrar ' s office also provide experience for many Girl Fridays. Janitoring, monitoring, weeding, mowing, painting, digging, filing, sorting, cleaning, etc. are also available to the eager and the able.
