Understanding and cheerful, Mr. Ker- mise Rowe, Dean of Boys, is much ap¬ preciated by the boys. One doesn ' t need a stepladder to reach those hard-to-get-at places. Allan Ander¬ son serves the purpose well for Tom Crook. Dorm Life Brings Mr. David Mummert, Associate Dean of Boys, finds time in his busy sched¬ ule to teach algebra, and girls ' PE classes. Oblivious to their surroundings, C. Sukow, D. McCoy, A. Dressel, and D. Gust relax in the spacious lobby as Larry Crooker works at cleanliness. 26

Mr. William Lowe, B. TH. , a graduate from Auburn Academy, currently in¬ structs in English and Bible. Mrs. Marie Lowe, B. A. , a versatile teacher, instructs in English, Develop¬ mental Reading, Health, and mathema¬ tics. Elder Vernon Berry, B. A. , M. A. , who spent many years in mission service, heads the foreign language department, teaching both Spanish and French to eager and confused pupils. Writin’ ' n Grammar The new head sets in the foreign language laboratory aid students in speaking and understanding. During the Faculty-Talent Program, Mr. Lowe relates the tale of a visit to a Jewish Wedding.

A. , Dean of Girls, knows the responsibilities of car¬ ing for 150 healthy American girls. The maidens of Zeta Kappa, Becky Taylor and Margie Gust, try to make the dorm a little more like home during the holidays. Guardian of the girls of Gibson Hall is Miss Frances McKnight, B. Ed. She carries the double assignment of Assistant Dean of Girls and Home Economics teach¬ er. 27
