A million POR PROQR6SS Progress is our most important Product. This is and has been for a number of years, the slogan of a very prominent corporation and has undoubtedly been heard or seen by thousands—even millions—of people through¬ out the world by means of radio, television, and varied advertising media. Since a few years ago, progress has been one of the most important products of Auburn Academy and will continue to be for several years to come. Since Western Washington Missionary Academy, pre¬ sently known as Auburn Academy, was founded in 1919, numerous changes have taken place. From the original frame buildings of yesterday, the academy campus has donned the new look of the modern brick buildings often seen today. These buildings are an advancement in the cause of furthering the scholastic atmosphere. Much has been done for the purpose of educating the youth of today in a Christian atmosphere. In view of this objective, Auburn began its vast build¬ ing program. Today, Auburn Academy is the proud possessor of the most up-to-date educational facilities. Much planning has resulted in two modern dormitories for housing the resident students. Meals can be enjoyed to a greater extent because of the sparkling kitchen fa¬ cilities in the new cafeteria. What does it take to have such a modern plant as can be witnessed at Auburn Academy ? The answer is simple. Sacrifice! To provide such a splendid array of buildings, many people must band to¬ gether to form an army to back up the financial super¬ visors of the school. Without the effective support of parents and friends, there could be no modern administration building, no modern dormitories, and no luxurious dining facilities. The students of Auburn Academy owe an unpayable debt to the dedicated Christian parents who have provid¬ ed and sacrificed that these tilings might be here today. Wait! Was it said, unpayable? Let it not be! Pay¬ ment can be made through the sincere, scholastic efforts of each and every student who passes through the doors of this school. Every graduate of Auburn Academy who becomes a success in society will be another installment toward the payment of the great debt owed to those who have made Auburn Academy what it is today. 2
