PRINCIPAL ' S MESSAGE The world today is divided into two camps, each striving for supremacy. We are involved in a race for survival that gives thinking people much concern. One college professor, speaking to a high school graduating class a few years ago, said he was glad he was sixty instead of sixteen, because he did not want to live the last half of the twentieth century. Paul speaks of a race in I Corinthians 9:24. Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth a prize? So run that ye may obtain. As a race goes into the last lap and nears the finish line, there is much tension and anxiety concerning the outcome. This parallel surely pictures our world situation. Thinking people are cogni¬ zant of this fact, and we find strenous efforts being made. East and West, to encourage more young people to enter scientific and engineering fields. Ability to delve into the secrets of nature and to apply the knowledge gained in building more destructive weapons is a paramount part of this race. But an understanding of the science of salvation is a far more important goal, and the crown of victory will be given only to those who are diligently running the race. S-fiOKtp -
