. . . Ya’ Hear On May 10, 1988 at approximately 7:30 p.m., seventeen seniors boarded a charter coach for an exciting trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Our thanks to chaperones Dean Lovell and Pat Emberton for making our trip a little more exciting. While in Gatlinburg we stayed at the Brookside Resort and enjoyed the pools and hot tub thoroughly. We also visited Pigeon Forge, Ober Gatlinburg, a ski resort, and many small shops that we explored while downtown. After two nights in Gatlinburg we went to Nashville and spent a restful night at the Hampton Inn. Our Days there were spent at the Country Music Hall of Fame, Recording Studio B, and, best of all, Opryland, U.S.A. A good time was had by all, but after four nights of excitement and little sleep, everyone was anxious to get back home. Top: Tricia, Sheila, and Michelle at Opryland. Upper left: Steve and Ted resting at Opryland. Upper middle: Gregg and Stevie wondering what to do next. Lower left: Gregg’s left holding the ball. Senior History Freshmen — We entered high school in August of 1984. We weren’t quite sure what to expect, but after a little adjustment we fit in and felt at home. Our class officers were President Beth Corcoran, Vice President David Hug, Treasurer Kristin Hayford and Secretary Tracy Moseley. Tricia Smith and Wade Romine were chosen as Freshman attendants during Homecoming. The highlight of our Freshman year was getting our class rings. We began to raise money for Prom and our Senior trip. Our selling project was Cookie Pies. Our sponsors were Mr. Kearns and Mrs. Newlin. Sophomore — By our Sophomore year, we were comfortable with our place here. We were learning to intimidate the Freshmen. This year we elected Steve Wolter as President, Chris England as Vice President, Katrina Henningsen as Secretary, and Scott Davis as Treasurer. For Homecoming we chose Kristin Hayford and Chris England to represent our class. The highlight of our Sophomore year was getting our drivers licenses. Ferguson Supply Kits were our selling projects. Our sponsors were Mr. Grant and Mrs. Newlin. 12
