Assemblies Break Monotony As often as possible students at AHHS look forward to the chance to cancel classes and attend an assembly. This year was no exception. The first day of school, August 27, 1984, was also the first assembly as Mr. Morgan explained the new handbook and upperclassmen introduced the Freshmen to high school. On Sept. 7 AHHS hosted Can We Talk”, a multi-media program on job interviews, presented by Pepsi and WSOY of Decatur. Throughout football season classes were cancelled on Friday for pep assemblies. The students were told that we would have future pep assemblies only if they showed enthusiasm. Needless to say, the gym rafters were rocking as each class tried to outdo the others and the football team belted out their favorite cheers.
