Despite their small numbers, the band students at AHHS were able to maintain quality and an active schedule again this year. In the fall, the marching Rajahs performed at football games and 5 parades and competitions. They also participated in the Findlay High Band Invitational. During the winter, band members kept busy at basketball games and won 3 seconds and 12 firsts at solo and ensemble contest. Spring brought the band contest with the Rajahs receiving an excellent rating. Enough students were interested in a jazz band to start Rajazz and the Variety Show audience was pleased by their sound. The LOVC band festival and a spring concert and the traditional Memorial Day parade finished another busy year for the board. The group’s advisor was Miss Christine Janota.
