Take The Court AHHS Rajenes The ten girls who made the Girls’ Basketball team this year did their best to give new coach. Miss Gail Warner, a good season. Their record was not impressive and there were not enough girls out to field a junior varsity squad, but the team learned a lot. Coach Warner stated that the team started many new things this year and will look forward to next season. Seven of the girls will return next year and their experience this year will be helpful in the future. Tami Helton was chosen Most Valuable Player. She also won the rebound award and the free throw award with a 67% average. Wendy Heinzelmann was selected as the Most Improved Player and Tracey Mauck was recognized as Most Promising.
