1983 J.V. Volleyball Pictured at right are the JV Volleyball team members. Front Row: Michelle Baer, Amy Romine, Michelle Moss; Second Row: Tracy Rawdin, Stephanie Chesnut, Alana Heit, Mitzi Mood; Back Row: Dawn Dial, Joni Terril, Tonya Strohl, Darcy Dial, and Amy Dyer. Jill Nave was not present for the picture. The squad had a losing season, but never gave up. Dawn Dial, pictured below with Joni Terril and Alana Heit, was voted Most Valuable Player. Joni Terril was chosen as Most Improved Player. Alana Heit had the Best Server record for the JV at 81%. Below Right: Backing up the varsity starters, Tonya Strohl, Dawn Dial, Amy Dyer, and other JV team members often dressed with the Varsity. Tonya Strohl, Stephanie Chesnut, Dawn Dial, Amy Dyer, Alana Heit, and Mitzi Mood all received letters for their help.

Bottom: Seniors on the Varsity included Tami Helton, Debbie Strohl, Julie Cornwell, Rosanne llarshbarger, and Patty Art os. Coach Linda Jones commented that the record did not reflect how well the 1983 Volleyball teams played nor how much they improved over the season. The girls won only 2 games and no matches, but surprised many fans by their persistence, in spite of a losing record. Debbie Strohl and Billie Sanders both received honorable mention in All-C'onference voting. Both were chosen as Most Valuable Players by the team. Tami Helton was Most Improved. Rosanne Harshbarger was Best Server with a 92% success rate. Best Setters were Rosanne Harshbarger and Julie Cornwell. Debbie Strohl was the Best Spiker with an 87% record.
