Mrs. Susan Kraybill, lower left, was the band instructor at the junior high and high school. She conducted marching band, concert band, and jazz band. Miss Lois Shonkwiler taught U.S. History, world history, world geography, and consumer education. She advised the senior class and National Honor Society. Mr. Jim Wood taught basic math, Algebra II, trigonometry, physical science, and physics. He also sponsored Camera Club. Mr. Jim Cullison taught basic agriculture, wiring, welding, agricultural business management, advanced animal science, and crop production. He sponsored FFA and National Honor Society. Mrs. Connie England taught Typing 1 and II, Shorthand I, and office practice. She sponsored the senior class and National Honor Society. 12

Mrs. Wanda Newlin, right, taught HERO, child care, textiles, foods, food career lab, and consumer education. She also sponsored the junior class and FHA. Mrs. Letitia Farris, below, taught Spanish 1 and II and mythology. She was also guidance counselor. She sponsored the freshman class, Spanish club, and POST. Mrs. Jane Lockett taught general business, accounting and consumer education. She also sponsored AFS. Mr. Jerry Newlin taught industrial occupations orientation, drafting, power woodworking, and cabinetmaking. He advised the freshman class and student council. Mr. Ken Englert, a student from Eastern Illinois University, did his student teaching at Atwood-Hammond High School under the direction of Mr. Newlin. M
