The smiley face symbolizes the job of returning to school again, seeing friends after the summer vacation and the thrill of starting out a new year. The Decatur Area Vocational Center was a new addition to A-HHS for 22 students including Brad Osborne in machine shop. Other courses were building, welding, electron- ics, cabinet making, data processing, and nursing. A-H played Bement in one of the main events students attended during the fall, highlighted by the crowning of Homecoming Queen Nancy Personett and King Jim Cornwell. Representative John C. Hirschfeld spoke at the Thanksgiving program. The icicle is one result of the biggest snow we had in years, causing us to lose six days of school. i D O r -ofKo II D r r i m O Above left the school begins i druoF | I Il7 If as tbe Semester blahs set in. Setting of the play was the English country home of author Charles Condontine (Brian Walkup) and his wife of seven years (Debbie Dick). To obtain material for his new book, Charles invited psychic Madame Arcati (Karol Suhl) to hold a seance. Along with Dr. and Mrs. Bradman (Lloyd Murphy, Becky Greek) Charles and Ruth played along with Madame Arcati as she tried to summon ghosts from the spirit world. Nothing happened, or did it? Whose voice did Charles hear? The end of the first act revealed another wife for Charles Elvira (Joy Eastin), his first wife, who returned to haunt the Condomines. What resulted was chaos for poor Charles and aggravation for Ruth. How does one get rid of a spirit? Madame Arcati had many tricks of the trade and Edith (Barb Bishop) the maid revealed some surprising psychic information herself. Above, Edith, the maid is astonished when Charles tried to press money to her, as Madame Arcati looks on. Below. Ruth is oblivious to the presence of ghost Elvira as she torments Charles.
