Dedication We, the Class of 1966, dedicate the 1966 POST to the memory of Dr. E. W. Weir. “A man he was to all the country dear ’--Goldsmith “His possible departure, even in retirement, was never truly faced. It was one of those things that COULD NOT happen. “It was locked away with the personal dreads one puts off to face later, if at all. “Even then, and often it was not an actual physical ailment, it was faced with the comforting words and presence of Dr. Weir and his own inimitable flickering smile which assured that things would work out. “He had infinite time and patience for Everyone and Everyone was the most important one at the moment of counseling or the moment of just listening. “Office hours were around the clock with the “office” ranging from the football field to a rumpled bedroom. “The instantaneous hush that fell over the community July 8, 1965, was truly an unspoken eulogy.” —Editorial, AT-TO-HI, October 1, 1965
