Heidi arrived as an exchange student from Locarno, Switzerland, in August through the International Christian Youth Exchange (1CYE) church program and has made her home with Mr. and Mrs. John Livengood, parents of Cindy. Commenting on the difference between the Swiss and American schools, Heidi said that the Swiss school system provides a more general knowledge, since all the students are required to take a certain number of subjects every year, and it is very easy to flunk. On the other hand she envies American students who learn very early how to talk in front of people. PIONEER, GO HOME To the Kwimper family, the settling of the West was NOT the end f the frontier. They found a new one down on the Gulf (. 'isr--a strip of unclaimed land along a magnificent state highway. Pop, Toby, the twins, and Holly, the babysitter. thought it was idyllic. The authorities had other ideas.
