IRACK New school records were set by junior Dave Schmidt, high jumping 6 ft. 12 in. and senior Dennis Behrend, pole vaulting 11 ft. 6 in. Atwood tied for fourth in the Conference track meet scoring 195 points. Receiving first at the con- ference meet were Dave Schmidt, high jumping 6 ft. 1 in., and senior J' oe Sanders, throwing the discus 128 ft. 1 in. Two Rajahs advanced to the State track meet by winning first or second in the district. 'These were Dave Schmidt, first in high, 5 ft. 11 in., and Dennis Behrend, second in pole vault, 11 ft. 6 in. Completing nine years as coach, Mr. Gadbury is leaving Atwood for Monticello. His football record for the nine years shows 40 wins, 27 losses, and 4 ties. Coach received five championships during his nine years. His championships were as follows: In 1951 and '56, the frosh-soph won the Okaw track titleg 1953, tied with Tuscola for conference trackg 1955, varsity football shared the co-championship with Arcolag and in 1958, Coach led the Rajahs to the Okaw track championship.
