Demattos. u SECOND Kadio Staff The WAR A Radio Staff is a public relations program aspect for A.H.S. It broadcasts A.H.S. news and ac- tivities, discusses contemporary is- sues, debates, concerts, and sports. Working in conjunction with the club are the secretaries of the other various clubs in the school. The secretaries give reports of their club ' s activities to members of the radio staff who then give the report over the radio. Science Club The Science Club is open to all high school students, regardless of whether they are taking a science course or not. The purpose of the Math Club is to heighten the stu- dent ' s understanding and appreciation of mathematics by coming in contact with certain aspects of the subject not covered in the usual high school courses. Chess enthusiasts of A.H.S. now have a leisure time activ- ity — the new A.H.S. Chess Club. The club meets once a week to give members an opportunity to play one another, and to discuss their game and strategy. The club has in- vited other clubs in Mass. and R.T to compete with it. 7uture Zeachers of America The Joy Elmer Morgan Fu- ture Teachers of America Club offers to its members a chance to explore the teaching profession by both practice teaching experience, and by hearing speakers in the related teaching fields.
