The purpose of the Math Club is to heighten the stu- dent ' s understanding and appreciation of mathematics by coming in contact with certain aspects of the subject not covered in the usual high school courses. Chess enthusiasts of A.H.S. now have a leisure time activ- ity — the new A.H.S. Chess Club. The club meets once a week to give members an opportunity to play one another, and to discuss their game and strategy. The club has in- vited other clubs in Mass. and R.T to compete with it.
