As students, we are now completing an important period of our enlightenment, our high school days. In the past four years, crammed full of studies, activities, and fun as they have been, the light of knowledge has shone brightly over us. Warm as sun- light, dancing like moonlight, the beam of this lamp of knowledge has lighted a steady path to the future for all of us who chose to follow. Many things have contributed to the brightness of this light - the faculty, the clubs and organizations, the athletic department, and the individual classes. All these groups have taken a part in making us well-rounded and mature people. Our hope is that we, the class of nineteen hundred fifty-three, have absorbed as much of this light of knowledge as any other class ever to graduate from Attleboro High School. It is also our dream that we, who graduate with such promise, may help to use this lamp of knowledge to lighten the darkest corners of the world. Illumined with brightness, we now stand on the threshold of the future. As we go on to college, to jobs, to adult life, we shall carry within us small sparks of the lamp of knowledge. With these lamps to guide us, may we spread the light of God and the Flame of democracy to all peoples with whom we come in contact. Lf i We, the Class of 1955, dedicate our issue of the TATTLETALE to Mr. Freeman Hall, whose kindly patience, sage advice, and fair-mindedness have often succeeded in gently curbing our youthful over-exuberanceg his occasional word to lbe u'i5e has helped to shape us into better students and better citizens, who will honor and respect him as long as we are able to remember Attleboro High School. To the CLASS of 1953 You have completed an rmportant stage 10 your personal dexelopment Congratula tnons' We of the staff take prxde ln your atcomplxshments now and ln the future Wnth graduatnon from hxgh school you enter upon new prnvrleges and resposxbrlltres As an mdmdual ln the democratxc socrety of the Unlted States you haxe great op portunltles We shall follow your growth as a cltrzen mth xnterest and confxdence Prmripal 40640.04 f 4fHv' K X r . t qs '--4. ff, .
